General Information for Paid Ads
Week Monday through Sunday

Payment in advance for first week's order

After first week's order, client may request to be billed monthly
Submission Deadline The Friday before the Monday that the ad is to start, by the close of business hours
  • Ad text and payment to be included with order
  • The Monday that the ad is to run should be specified in the order, otherwise the ad will be presumed to start on the next available Monday after the ad is received
  • When placing or sending an order, please include name (if an organization, also include name of contact person), street address and phone number

Business Ads
(Examples: Real Estate agencies, car dealers, restaurants, etc.)
Cost: $30.00 per week (as of April 1st, 2001)
 
Political Ads
(Examples: Running for county office, re-election, etc.)
Cost: $30.00 per week (as of April 1st, 2001)
 
Personal Ads
(Examples: Happy birthday/anniversary, lost pet, yard sales, car for sale, etc.)
Cost: $30.00 per week (as of April 1st, 2001)
 


Nonprofit/Community Events Announcements

Submission
Deadline 		Request for announcements should be submitted at least two weeks prior to an event, and may be submitted even sooner.
Cost No charge *

* - RCN of PA can offer no guarantee that any particular free announcement will be run on the Bulletin Board, due to the large number of submissions for this service, as well as the number of paid ads on the system.

If a person or group wishes to guarantee that a particular announcement will be run on the Bulletin Board, they may pay to reserve a space for it, which will treat that announcement like a regular paid ad, with the same length of run, the same payment options, and the same order deadline (see previous page). The charge for this reserved space is $15.00 a week.
 


Premium Paid Ads

Submission Deadline The deadline for the submission is two weeks prior to the  particular start date. (Contact the office for details.)
Cost If a business, group or person wishes to use their own background, picture, logo or business card in their ad, they may do so. However, the rate for these ads is $50.00 per week.

  • Space Limits: 7 lines per ad - 25 characters per line (includes letters, punctuation and spaces between words)
  • Colors: Text colors available: White, Yellow, Green, Purple, Red, Lt. Blue
  • PLEASE NOTE: The RCN 4 Community Bulletin Board will not run ads for services and companies that compete directly with RCN (for example: cable, phone, Internet service, satellite dishes, etc.)

In Person Ads may be ordered in person at RCN 4 offices on Airport Rd.

Office Hours: M-F 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Ad Frequency
  • Each ad has a viewing duration of 20 seconds.
  • The Bulletin Board runs all day on an approximate 40-minute cycle (ads reappear about every 40 minutes).
  • When local programming is scheduled, generally in the evenings, the Bulletin Board will not be seen until the programs are over.
